Emily Noël is an emerging opera director whose work builds on a vibrant career as a soprano, actor, and educator. She has performed across North America and Europe, with highlights including appearances at the John F. Kennedy Center, the Folger Shakespeare Theatre, and Shakespeare’s Globe in London.
Ms. Noël’s growing directing portfolio includes full-scale productions of Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld, Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, and Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. Last summer Ms. Noël joined the faculty of Lyric Arts France, a young artist program in partnership with Opéra Bastide in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, France. In summer of 2026 she will be returning to Villefranche to direct a full-length production of Gluck’s Orphée et Eurydice.
